The Hairy Hundred is the epitome of gravel riding in Boone County, Missouri. For the second year in a row the event will start and finish at Katfish Katy’s just Southwest of Columbia. From there the course will loop through 100 miles of some of our finest gravel roads. Before finishing with a "Roubaix finish" around a short gravel circuit, complete with a bell lap. It won’t be easy – it will be fun – probably…
In 2019 the Hairy Hundred, El Chupacabra Grondo, and the Harrisburg Hammer combine to become the Boone County Triple Crown.
Day of registration will start at 6:45 am and our start time will be 8 am May 19, 2019. There are a few convenience stores in close proximity to the course. We'll also have a bag drop (bags supplied by yourself) area at mile 62 along the Katy Trail. The race will finish up with a short lap around our "gravel velodrome," Roubaix style! Following the race be sure to enjoy food and drink at The Station House at Katfish Katy's. We're also incredibly happy to announce that winners of the men's and women's open categories will be going home with a James Joe Froese jersey!
As always we like to remind everyone that this ride is completely self supported. However we will have some support on call should anyone not be able to get back to the start/finish. Keep in mind that it will likely take our people awhile to get to you depending on where you are. The cue sheet will have information and phone numbers should the need arise.
